               BAHAWALPUR(PR) Additional Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Amjad Bashir has said that comprehensive measures have been undertaken to provide safe, congenial and comfortable environment for the working women at their work places. He made these remarks while presiding over a high level meeting to review the arrangements for providing safe and comfortable environment for the working women at Bahawalpur district.

                The meeting was attended by Executive Director Women in struggle for empowerment Madam Bushra Khaliq, Professor Dr. Samina Badar, Chief Executive Officer Education Chaudhry Bashir Ahmad, Assistant Commissioner Bahawalpur City Rao Tasleem Akhter, Assistant Director legal district consumer protection council Bahawalpur Zeenat Mazhar, Noshaba Malik, District Health Officer Dr. Saeed Asghar and other officers and officials of the concerned departments.

                Executive Director Women in struggle  for empowerment Madam Bushra Khaliq briefed the meeting regarding the salient features of women protection act 2010 (Amended 2012) which extend comprehensive security cover to the working women at their work places both officials, semi officials, private, registered and unregistered enterprises. She also briefed the meeting regarding constitution of inquiry committees, designation of competent authority and effective implementation of code of conduct in this regard. She further said that a training program of 30 volunteers for public awareness is also under way in district Bahawalpur.
