Effective and comprehensive measures should be undertaken for effective security arrangements along the 470 Kilometers long track of TDCP Cholistan Desert Rally: Saqib Zafar

               BAHAWALPUR(PR) Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Saqib Zafar has directed that effective and comprehensive measures should be undertaken for effective security arrangements along the 470 Kilometers long track of TDCP Cholistan Desert Rally in the three districts of Bahawalpur Division. He issued these directions while presiding over a video link conference of the Administrative Officers of the 3 districts of Bahawalpur Division to review the arrangements of Cholistan Desert Rally at his conference room.

                The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtasham Anwar Mahar, Deputy Commissioner Rahim Yar Khan Jameel Ahmad, Additional District Collector Bahawalnagar Rana Amjad Ali, Event Manager TDCP Fayaz Ahmad, President and members of 4X4 club Mahmood Majeed, Saud Majeed, Zain Mahmood, MD Cholistan Development Authority Naeem Iqbal Bukhari, Additional Commissioner Coordination Syed Waseem Hassan, Secretary District Regional Transport Authority Tanveer Hussain Jhandeer, Senior Tourism Officer Shahid Mahmood and other officers and officials of the concerned departments.

                "All arrangements to organize cultural shows, medical camps, refilling points, communication points and other administrative measures in line with the arrangement plan should be put into place by mobilizing all available resources", Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Saqib Zafar Directed.

                Commissioner Saqib Zafar directed all Deputy Commissioners of the Bahawalpur Division to establish special spots along the track of Rally in the vicinity of historical forts which include:- Jam Garh, Khair Garh, Nawan Kot, Marrot, Moj Garh and Deen Garh for the visitors and spectators.

                "Comprehensive traffic control plan along with health facilities, waste management and security cover for camping should be thoroughly finalized", Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Saqib Zafar maintained.

                The meeting was briefed that Cholistan Desert Rally would remain in operation from 9^th of February to 12^th of February having 2 stages in which 220 Kilometers and 250 Kilometers distance would be covered in the first and second phase respectively.

                The meeting was also apprised that cultural show, fire work and 6 paragliders performance would be held at Derawer fort.
