Concerned officials  ensure all essential facilities  for the consumers and the contractors for the smooth running of cattle markets in Bahawalpur division
                        BAHAWALPUR(PR)Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab, MNA Muhammad Afzal Khokhar has urged upon the concerned officials to ensure all essential facilities both for the consumers and the contractors for the smooth running of cattle markets under the management of Cattle Management Company in the three districts of Bahawalpur division. He issued these directions while presiding over a high level meeting to review the performance of Cattle Management Company held at the conference room of Commissioner Bahawalpur.
The meeting was attended by Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Saqib Zafar, Deputy Commissioner Rana Muhammad Saleem Afzal, Additional Commissioner Saqib Ali Ateel, MD Cattle Management Company Waqar Jafar, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Farooq and other officers and officials of the concerned departments.
                “Comprehensive mechanism should be operationalized to extend all necessary facilities at the Cattle Markets which include:- provision of fodder, water, mobile veterinary dispensaries and fool proof security cover for the smooth running of cattle markets”, Advisor to Chief Minsiter Punjab MNA Muhammad Afzal Khokhar directed.
The meeting was briefed that solid measures have been undertaken against the illegal cattle markets and stringent punitive legal action has been undertaken in this regard. Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Afzal Khokhar further said that the dynamic and visionary mission of the Chief Minister Punjab is focused at extending modern and decent facilities to promote the live stock industry by operationalizing cattle markets on modern scientific lines.
                                “Effective measures should be undertaken to have a highly hygienic environment at the cattle markets”, Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab MNA Muhammad Afzal khokhar noted.
Later, Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab MNA Muhammad Afzal Khokhar also inspected model bazar Bahawalpur. He inspected various stalls of kitchen items, fruit, vegetables, meat, chicken and other food stuff. He directed the concerned officials to ensure high quality food items to the consumers at affordable prices.
                “Model bazars have been established to ensure high standard food stuff at the prices lower than the market prices to extend economic relief to the consumers”, Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab MNA Muhammad Afzal Khokhar Directed.
He also directed the concerned officials to provide all possible facilities to the business community for the smooth running of model bazars.
Chief Minister Punjab has appointed MPA Kanji Ram as Convener of Minority Advisory Council Punjab
                        BAHAWALPUR(PR)Chief Minister Punjab has appointed MPA Kanji Ram as Convener of Minority Advisory Council Punjab. MPA Kanji Ram would represent the Hindu community of the Punjab province on the recommendation of Provincial Minister for Human rights and Minority affairs Khalil Tahir Sindhu. Provincial Minister Khalil Tahir Sindhu presented the Appointment letter of convener-ship to MPA Kanji Ram at a special ceremony held in this regard.
                                The ceremony was attended by Provincial Secretary for Human Rights and Minority Affairs Punjab Asim Iqbal, MPA Shahzad Munshi, Parliamentary Secretary for Human Rights and Minority affairs Tariq Gill and others.
                                MPAs:-Sardar Ramish Singh Arora, Shahzad Munshi, Chaudhry Tariq Gill, Shazia Tariq, Julius Rofen and a large number of notables of Hindu Community and different representatives of Minorities and political parties have congratulated MPA Kanji Ram for over his appointment as Convener of NACP.
Seminar was organized to raise public awareness about the negative impacts of various kinds of weeds
                      BAHAWALPUR(PR)  A seminar was organized to raise public awareness about the negative impacts of various kinds of weeds which reduce the productivity quantum of crops. The impacts of weeds had a serious repercussions on the agro economy therefore a comprehensive campaign should be launched to eliminate the weeds to boost the quantum of agricultural productivity which would not only strengthen the agriculture sector but would also bring prosperity for millions of peasants in the province. This was stated by the speakers while addressing a ceremony jointly organized by Agriculture extension department Bahawalpur and University College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences held in connection with weeds finishing campaign at Islamia University Bahawalpur, here, today. The ceremony was presided over by Principal Agriculture College Professor Dr. Muzzam Jameel. The seminar was also addressed by Deputy Director Agriculture extension Mian Manzoor Ahmad, Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, Dr. Muhammad Naeem Chaudhry, Dr. Muhammad Latif, Dr. Muhammad Saqib and Assistant Director Agriculture extension Hafiz Muhammad Shafiq.

                        BAHAWALPUR(PR)A seminar was organized to raise the public awareness for the empowerment of women on the eve of International Women Day was held at Government Degree College for women Dubai palace road, Bahawalpur. The seminar was presided over by Principal College professor. Mrs. Nuzhat Nazli. The seminar was addressed by Professor Mrs. Gul Jan Bukhari and students of college Abida Khan, Qandeel Fatima, Laila javed and Sadia.
                                Principal Professor Mrs. Nuzhat Nazli maintained that Islam has granted equal rights to the women who can play their positive and constructive role in all spheres of human life by adhering to the golden principles of Islam and our socio cultural values.

                     BAHAWALPUR(PR)   Vice Chancellor Government Sadiq College Women University Professor Dr. Tallat Afza has said that Government was fully committed to provide all necessary facilities to the women to play their constructive and dynamic role in all spheres of human life which is vital to accelerate the pace of socio economic development of the country. She made these remarks while presiding over a ceremony held in connection with the International Women Day at the Government Sadiq College Women University, Bahawalpur.
                                MNA Begum Perveen MasoodBhatti, MNA Mrs. Sabiha Nazeer and Begum Commissioner Bahawalpur Nausheen Zafar were the guest of honour.
                              
  The speakers in their address highlighted various initiatives undertaken by the government for the empowerment of the women which include:- the pro women legislation, raising the special quota in the government jobs for the women and implementing a women protection act to provide conducive and constructive environment to the women at the work place. Ms. Almas Fatima was the moderator of the ceremony while Tableaus were also performed by the students regarding the empowerment of women.


CDA would spend Rs. 1 billion and 317 million on various development projects to provide  socio physical infra-structure in the far flung areas of Cholistan 
                        BAHAWALPUR(PR)Cholistan Development Authority would spend Rs. 1 billion and 317 million on various development projects to provide state of the art socio physical infra-structure in the far flung areas of Cholistan during the current fiscal year 2016-17. This was stated during a high level meeting to review the performance of Cholistan Development Authority’s various development schemes held at the conference room of Commissioner Bahawalpur.
Chairman Cholistan Development Authority & Provincial Minister for Cooperative Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar presided over the meeting. The meeting was attended by Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Saqib Zafar, MNA Begum and Member Standing committee for Information and Broadcasting Begum Perveen Masood Bhatti, Saad Masood Chaudhry, officials of the Cholistan Development Authority and other officers and officials of the concerned departments.
Chairman Cholistan Development Authority Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar while addressing the meeting said that to bring the cholistani people into the socio economic main stream government was fully determined to mobilize all available resources.
“The government of Punjab’s commitment to provide comfortable and decent socio economic cover is practically reflected by planning to allot state land to the cholistani people and the scrutiny process in this regard has been completed through transparent based mechanism”, Chairman Cholistan Development Authority & Provincial Minister Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar noted.
                                He further maintained that the redressal committees regarding allotment process are rapidly finalizing their recommendation in this regard.
                                The meeting was briefed that under the directions of Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Saqib Zafar special committees have been constituted for the further improvement of the operational mechanism of Cholistan Development Authority: - Financial Committee has District Accounts Officer, Assistant Commissioner Yazman and Divisional Account officer Cholistan Development Authority as its members while Advisory Committee includes: - District Attorney, Law Officers of CDA and a representative of S&GAD.
The meeting was further briefed that the case of CDA employees cooperative housing society and transferring 50 new primary schools under the administrative supervision of education directorate of CDA and Punjab education foundation have been referred to their respective departments.
Registration process regarding CM Talent Hunt Program has been completed in the  Bahawalpur division
                         BAHAWALPUR(PR)The registration process regarding Chief Minister Talent Hunt Program in the domains of Music and Painting has been completed in the three districts of Bahawalpur division while the scrutiny process of the applications of the registered candidates has been undertaken.
A meeting was held at Rasheedia Auditorium Bahawalpur regarding the scrutiny process. Divisional Focal Person of Chief Minister Talent Hunt Program  Ajaz Mahmood presided over the meeting.

This was stated by the Chairman economic department Islamia University Bahawalpur Dr. Ijaz Ali Khan while speaking as a chief guest at a certificates awarding ceremony of a joint workshop organized by Interactive Resource Centre and Islamia University Bahawalpur regarding Citizen Journalism at Islamia University Baghdad-ul-Jadeed campus, Bahawalpur.
Coordinator workshop professor Dr. Shahzad Rana while addressing the ceremony said that under the dynamic leadership of Vice Chancellor Islamia University Bahawalpur Professor Dr. Qaiser Mushtaq, Dean Faculty of Arts and IRC has provided a platform to the students to sharpen their creative potential by learning the modern techniques and trends in journalism. Later, certificates were distributed among the trainees.
Pakistan is rapidly emerging as economic joint  under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif:Dr. Ayesha Abdullah
                        BAHAWALPUR(PR)Prominent Leader of PMLN Dr. Ayesha Abdullah has said that Pakistan is rapidly emerging as economic joint due to the dynamic, vibrant and solid economic policy framework under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and the launching of Rs. 40 thousand new premier Prize Bonds would sharpen the pace of attaining the target of 20 percent saving rate which is vital for sustainable economic growth. She made these remarks during a press statement.
                “Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Pakistan’s democratic and constitutional system has strengthened while the transparent economic culture has made Pakistan an attractive destination for the investors across the globe which is the practical tribute to the economic policies launched under the directions of PMLN leadership”, Dr. Ayesha Abdullah maintained.
                                She further said that Pakistan would be among the top ten global economies by 2040 according to economic experts due to the economic policy framework undertaken by the present government. She highly appreciated the various projects in the fields of education, health, job opportunities, energy and the road network in the southern Punjab under the directions of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif which has ushered a new era of progress, peace and prosperity in the southern Punjab.
