The Prime responsibility of child protection bureau is to provide shelter and
education to poor, helpless and orphan children:DC Bahawalpur
BAHAWALPUR(PR) Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Rana Mohammad Saleem Afzal
has urged upon the concerned authorities of child protection bureau to evolve
an effective mechanism to impart technical education and social sciences to the
poor, helpless and orphan children to make them productive members of the
society. He made these remarks while presiding over a meeting of the officials
of Child Protection Bureau, at his committee room. The meeting was
attended by District Officer Child Protection Bureau Noshaba Malik and other
officers and officials of the concerned departments.
"The
prime responsibility of child protection bureau is to provide shelter and
education which would equip them with modern skills through sustained
socialization process", Deputy Commissioner Rana Mohammad Saleem Afzal
maintained.
Deputy
Commissioner further said that child protection bureau with the collaboration
of Punjab skilled development program, VTI and TEVTA to impart technical
education to the children residing in child protection bureau.
"Immediate
steps should be taken for the registration of the schools and more rooms should
be constructed to accommodate the helpless children", Deputy Commissioner
noted.
District
Officer Child Protection Bureau Noshaba Malik briefed the Deputy Commissioner
that as many as 45 children are residing at the Child Protection Bureau.
