Wreath laying ceremony was organized to commemorate martyrdom anniversary of Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed (Nishan-e-Haider) at his tomb in Tufailabad

BAHAWALPUR(By ISPR)Wreath laying ceremony was organized to commemorate martyrdom anniversary of Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed (Nishan-e-Haider) at his tomb in Tufailabad, District Vehari on Tuesday, 8 Aug 17. Brigadier Jawad Ahmed Zaka laid the wreath on behalf of Chief of Army Staff Qamar Javed Bajwa and Commander 31 Corps Lieutenant General Sher Afgun. Guard of honor was presented by contingent of Pakistan Army. Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed had sacrificed his life for the sake of motherland in 1958.

At this occasion, family of shaheed further cemented the sentiments of patriotism and love for Pakistan Army by expressing their feelings. Large number of people attended the wreath laying ceremony which included representatives from civil administration, local notables, general populace, Retired Officers and Soldiers as well as families of Shuhada.
