BAHAWALPUR(PR): Syed Raza Ali Gillani, Minister Higher Education Punjab has said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is economically beneficial both for China and Pakistan. This great project will prove a mile stone in progress of Pakistan bridging South East Asia with Central Asia, Africa and Europe. By 2025 CPEC will eliminate difference between low and high income nations in the region. The Punjab Higher Education Minister expressed his views during an awareness seminar jointly organized by the Higher Education Department and Pakistan Marine Academy at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Prof. Dr. Qaiser Mushtaq, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Commodore Akber Naqi, Commandant Pakistan Marine Academy, faculty members and students were also present on this occasion. The Minister said that CPEC will create millions of employment opportunities through road networks, energy projects and industrials zones expanding from Gillgit to Gawadar. The Punjab government gives high priority to development of Southern Punjab and this region will also avail benefits of CPEC. Prof. Dr. Qaiser Mushtaq, Vice Chancellor said that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has emerged as leading university of Pakistan, this is the reason the Punjab government organized such a grand seminar in this university. Commandant Akber Naqi highlighted contribution of Pakistan Marine Academy to produce merchant naval man power and said that 90 percent of the country’s trade is carried out through oceans and which is vital for success of China Pakistan Economic Corridor.
