IUB has started preparations for 12th convocation academic session 2016
BAHAWALPUR (PR): The administration of the Islamia University of
Bahawalpur has started preparations for 12th convocation for BS,
Master, MPhil and PhDs of academic session 2016. These graduates belong to
faculties of Arts, Islamic Learning, Commerce & Management Sciences,
Education, Pharmacy & Alternative Medicine and Sciences. The graduates can
register their participation through university website www.iub.edu.pk till 25 October, 2017. It is
pertinent to mention that university organized 7 convocations during 1975 to 2014
and within two and a half year under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Qaiser
Mushtaq, Vice Chancellor 5 convocations were held and sixth being planned in
coming weeks. The university has also resolved decade long issue of thousands
of pending degrees and from new academic session onwards convocation will be
held on regular basis.
IUB & SUPARCO jointly celebrated World Space Week 2017 under the theme
of “Exploring the New Worlds”
BAHAWALPUR (PR): The Islamia University of Bahawalpur and National
Space Agency SUPARCO jointly celebrated World Space Week 2017 under the theme
of “Exploring the New Worlds”. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur dedicated
world space week celebrations to 15 years celebrations of the Higher Education
Commission of Pakistan. Deputy Director General SUPARCO, Muhammad Yousuf Khan
along with Prof. Dr. Muhammad Asgher Hashmi, Dean Faculty of Sciences
inaugurated the week long events held at various educational institutions of
Bahawalpur district. The activities included model making competition, quiz
competition, declamation contest, mobile lecture and movie show, water rocket
competition, spacewalk and space fair. It is important to mention that the
SUPARCO and the IUB have been jointly celebrating world space week since last
six year in the month of October every years. The activity has been beneficial
for raising awareness among students regarding space sciences and working of
National Space Agency.
