BAHAWALPUR(PR)Provincial
Minister for non formal education Ch. Muhammad Shafiq has said that Punjab
Government has launched gas fired power plants to the tune of 3600 Megawatts
which has accelerated the pace of attaining the load shedding free country.
Moreover, Punjab Government has signed a new project having a capacity of 1263
Megawatts which aims to ensure unstopped supply of electricity both for the
consumers and industrial sector. He made these remarks while addressing a
public gathering at Sadiqabad.

"Way back
in 2013, load shedding posed a major socio economic policy challenge for the
newly elected leadership of PMLN which turned challenge into an opportunity
through dedicated, sustained and effective implementation of fast track
installation of power plants in the country", Provincial Minister for non
formal education Ch. Muhammad Shafiq maintained.
Provincial
Minister further said that under the Chief Minister Punjab's Roshan Punjab
vision, Punjab is poised to become energy sufficient by attaining the famous
"Shahbaz Speed" which is a practical demonstration of completing
projects of billions of rupees not only before their stipulated completion
framework but also saved billions of rupees by adhering to high standard of
financial transparency and honesty under the dynamic leadership of Chief
Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.
