District Administration has distributed facial masks to the citizens so  they can remain safe from different diseases due to smog
BAHAWALPUR(PR/By Our Staff Reporter)The district administration has distributed facial masks to the citizens so that they can remain safe from different diseases due to smog. The masks in a large numbers were distributed at Fawara Chowk, Fareed Gate, One Unit Colony, and Chowk Hamayatian to the riders of motorcycle, cars, rickshaws and other vehicles as well as pedestrians. There were educated on the precautions to remain safe from diseases.
Mayor Municipal Corporation Aqeel Najam Hashmi said that throughout the Punjab including Bahawalpur, smog has increased dangerously thereby spreading flu, cough and other diseases. The number of patients visiting hospitals with these diseases is increasing. So wearing face mask to remain safe from these diseases is very crucial, he added.
Smog has hindered the traffic system increasingly as during night and early mornings smog puts the visibility down to almost zero. Considering the situation, the traffic police advised the drivers to take care while driving and use fog lights on vehicles.
