BAHAWALPUR (PR): The Islamia University of Bahawalpur organized ten days long activities to commemorate birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. These activities held on direction of Prof. Dr. Qaiser Mushtaq, Vice Chancellor included special dialogues, seminars, lectures, speech competitions and quiz shows across the campuses. Faculty members paid rich tribute to visionary leadership of Quaid e Azam who with his struggle enabled Muslims of the sub-continent to achieve their own piece of land. They highlighted various aspects of life of Muhammad Ali Jinnah and briefed students about his political struggle and leading role in Pakistan Movement. Faculty members said that Quaid’s principles of unity, faith and discipline are torch bearers for the Muslims even today to get rid of their problems. These seminars were held at departments of Media Studies, Political Science, Pharmacy and Pakistan Studies. A portrait making competition was also held at Art & Design College in which students presented elegant sketches of Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah besides a special ceremony held at University Model School.
