Department of Social Work IUB in collaboration with the Punjab Thalassemia Prevention Program organized a seminar about the awareness of thalassemia disease
BAHAWALPUR(PR)The Department of Social Work, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur in collaboration with the Punjab Thalassemia Prevention Program organized a seminar about the awareness of thalassemia disease. The participants were briefed about the thalassemia, its causes and prevention and to prepare students for their active role and volunteer participation in the prevention program of the thalassemia. The organizers described the initiatives taken by the Punjab government for the prevention of thalassemia. After the briefing, the house was open for the penal discussions. It was concluded that every individual should be registered as blood donor. Thalassemia patients require blood on regular basis as an essential part of their treatment process.
