BAHAWALPUR(PR)The One day
International Conference on Materials and Nano-Devices was organized by the
Department of Physics, GSCWU Bahawalpur. It was held with joint collaboration
of ORIC, GSCWU under the supervision of Prof. Dr. TalatAfza, Worthy Vice
Chancellor of The Government Sadiq College Women University Bahawalpur. On this
occasion, Dr. J. S. Kim Loughborough University, UK, Prof. Dr. Bin Zhu, Hubei University, China
and Muhammad Afzal, KTH, Sweden were our honorable International delegates from abroad and
Prof. Dr. ZafarIlyas (AIOU, ISB), Prof. Dr. AsgharHashmi, Prof. Dr. Muhammad
Rao Afzal, Dr. SaeedBuzdar and Dr. Alia Nazir were our national delegates from
The Islamia University Bahawalpur. The Ceremony started with the name of Allah (Recitation)
proceeded by Na’at. Dr. Noor-ul-ain, startedthe proceedings of the Conference
as a Focal Person. Dr. AmbreenKalsoomAssistant Professor, Physics gave welcome
address to the speakers and audience. The plenary address was given on In-situ temperature distribution monitoring of
commercial SOFCs using multi-sensor arraysbyDr. J. S. Kim
Loughborough University, UK. The second session was started by Prof. Dr.
ArshadSaleemBhatti with the topic “Defects in wide band gap semiconductors for
potential use in light sources”. The second speaker was Prof. Dr. Bin Zhu, Hubei University, China, hedelivered
his lecture on “Semiconductor-Ionics: materials & applications”. The third
speaker was Muhammad AfzalFarooqi from KTH, Sweden,he delivered his lecture on
“Breakthrough in Advance Materials
using Semiconductor-Ionic Devices”.The third session started with the presentation
of Dr. Hadia Noor from PU on the topic “Capacitance–Voltage Characteristics of Selectively
Doped CIAGS/Si Junctions”. At the end of theConferenceProf.
Dr. TalatAfza Vice Chancellor of GSCWU Bahawalpur presented shields and
certificates among the speakers and the organizers, The Conference ended with
group photo and bundle of thanks to the delegates.
