TDCP 500 kilometers long Cholistan Desert Rally would held from 9th to 12th of February 2017 in the Cholistan area
                BAHAWALPUR(PR)TDCP 500 kilometers long Cholistan Desert Rally would held from 9th to 12th of February 2017 in the Cholistan area of the 3 districts of Bahawalpur Division. A high level meeting was held to review the arrangements for holding this high profile cultural sports event. Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Saqib Zafar presided over the meeting. The meeting was attended by Major (R) Tahir Majeed, Additional Commissioner Coordination Syed Waseem Hassan, Director local government Waseem Anwar, Event Manager TDCP Shaikh Fayyaz Ahmad, Regional Manager TDCP Shahid Mahmood, Imtiaz Lashari from Cholistan Development Authority and other officers and officials of the concerned departments.
                "Desert Rally would pass through in the Cholistan area of the 3 districts of Bahawalpur Division which include:- Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan and would have a route comprising of 500 kilometers", Commissioner Saqib Zafar maintained.
                Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Saqib Zafar directed all the 3 District Coordination Officers of Bahawalpur Division to mobilize all available resources to ensure befitting arrangements on the routes and the check posts of the route of Desert Rally 2017. He further said that the route of Desert Rally 2017 has been extended which now covers all the Cholistan area of the 3 districts of Bahawalpur division to extend recreational facilities to the visitors.
                "All the major forts like Derawer Fort, Khair Garh Fort, Bajnot Fort, Nawan Kot Fort, Deen Garh Fort, Moj Garh Fort, Marrot Fort, Jam Garh Fort and Mehr Garh Fort should be fully decorated along with adequate lightening arrangements", Commissioner Bahawalpur Saqib Zafar directed.
                He also directed that special sports and cultural events would also be arranged on the occasion of Desert Rally 2017.

Seminar entitled "Peace is our right" was jointly organized by the various wings of social welfare department
               BAHAWALPUR(PR) A Seminar entitled "Peace is our right" was jointly organized by the various wings of social welfare department which include:- Darul Atfal(Boys) Darul Atfal(Girls) and Sannatzar on the eve of the second anniversary of Army Public School Peshawar incident here at Sannatzar Bahawalpur. MPA Fouzia Ayub Qureshi was the Chief Guest.
                MPA Fouzia Ayub Qureshi said that the martyrs of Army Public School Peshawar sacrificed their lives which changed the policy paradigm which is practically reflected in the National will to decimate the beastly forces of terrorism by implementing National Action Plan.
                The seminar was also addressed by Chairman social welfare department Islamia University Bahawalpur Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha, Senior District Officer Social welfare Ghulam Yaseen Baloch, Social Medical Officer and Superintendent Darul Atfal (Boys) Chaudhry Asghar Shaheen Deputy District Officer Social Welfare Muhammad Uzair and Manager Nigehban Ishtiaq Ahmad.
                Later, a tableau was presented by the students of Dramatic club of Islamia University Bahawalpur to highlight the national resolve to defeat terrorism. Students sang national songs and candles were also burned by the participants.
                The Seminar was attended by civil society representatives Nauman Naseer, Junaid Nazeer, Athar Lashari, Media representatives and a large number of people from different walks of life.

               BAHAWALPUR(PR) A commemorative ceremony to pay homage to the martyrs of Army Public School Peshawar on the eve of second anniversary of APS Peshawar was held at Rasheedia Auditorium Bahawalpur which was jointly organized by Bahawalpur Arts Council, Khan Production and Jhok Saraiki.
                Resident Director Bahawalpur Arts Council & Director Public Relations Rana Ajaz Mahmood presided over the ceremony.
                The participants burned candles to pay homage to the splendid and glorious sacrifices of the martyrs of Army Public School Peshawar. Later, a walk was also held which started from Rasheedia Auditorium and ended at Wasaib chowk. Earlier, Fatiha Khowani was also held for the departed souls.
                The ceremony was attended by District Information Officer Nauman Masood Khan, Photographer Habib-ur-Rehman, Danish Hameed Advocate , Sumaira Danish Editor Daily "The Climax" Bahawalpur , Mah jabeen zubair, Atiq Khokhar, Tahira Khan, Rasheed, Khalid Khan, children, ladies and notables of the city.

               BAHAWALPUR(PR) As many as 5 lac and 97 thousand children of less than 5 years of age would be administered POLIO drops by 1369 Polio teams in district Bahawalpur. The 3 days Polio eradication campaign would start from 19th of December. Principal Quaid-e-Azam Medical College Professor Dr. Ajlal Haider Rizvi inaugurated the 3 days Polio eradication campaign by administering Polio drops to a child at the Outdoor of Bahawal Victoria Hospital Bahawalpur.

               BAHAWALPUR(PR) Peshawar martyrs have written splendid and glorious chapter by sacrificing their lives by braving the bullets of cowardly terrorists which has added a shining chapter of velour and gallantry in the annals of our national history. This was stated by principal Government Sadiq College of Commerce Muzaffar Ali Saif while addressing a special ceremony held in connection with the second anniversary of Army Public School Peshawar incident at the college.

              BAHAWALPUR(PR)  Child Protection Bureau Bahawalpur organized a special commemorative ceremony on the eve of the second anniversary of Army Public School Peshawar. Additional District Collector Nausheen Malik, was the guest of honour. The ceremony was attended by Medical social welfare Officer Faryal Ameen, District Officer child protection bureau Naushaba Malik, officers of social welfare department, ladies and a large number of students. The students of Child Protection Bureau delivered speeches to pay homage to the sacrifices of the martyrs of Army Public School Peshawar. They also sang national songs.

               BAHAWALPUR(PR) Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Saqib Zafar has condoled with the bereaved family of late Professor (R) Shahza Kausar on her sad demise. He visited the residence of Dawn correspondent A. Majeed Gill and Dr. Usman Cheema to condole with the bereaved family. He offered Fatiha for the departed soul. He prayed that the departed soul should rest in eternal peace.
