Wildlife & Parks Punjab Khalid Ayaz Khan has said that a symposium will be arranged
for apprising Deputy Directors of the entire province of rules and regulations
of Punjab Procurement Regularity Authority (PPRA). He said that it will be the
first training programme of its kind being conducted by the department.
He was presiding over a
special meeting held in the Committee Room of his office which was attended by all
officers at the headquarters. Khalid Ayaz Khan said that the one-day symposium
will be held at the start of next week in Lahore Zoo. He expressed the hope
that holding of symposium will be helpful for the officers in developing understanding
about financial affairs and transparent utilization of funds. Khalid Ayaz Khan directed
Deputy Director Headquarters Muhammad Naeem Bhatti to fax/email a circular to
ensure participation of all officers throughout the province and submit him an
immediate report after verification of the receipt of circular on telephone. He
said that officers receiving training at the symposium will be able to
safeguard departmental and government interests in a better manner while significant
improvement will also be witnessed regarding audit paras.
27 Ramzan Bazars and 92 Madni Daster-Khawans would be established during the Holy month of Ramzan:Saqib Zafar
BAHAWALPUR(PR)Commissioner Bahawalpur Saqib Zafar
has stated that as many as 27 Ramzan Bazars and 92 Madni Daster-Khawans would
be established during the Holy month of Ramzan to ensure economic relief at
Ramzan Bazars and free food both at Seher and Iftaar at Madni Daster-Khawans in
Bahawalpur Division.
He
made these remarks while presiding over a high-level meeting which also linked
DCOs Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalnagar through video links here, at his
conference room, today. During the meeting commissioner was apprised of various
measures undertaken regarding supply of: - edibles; vegetables; fruits; juices
and other kitchen items at the Ramzan Bazars. The meeting was provided detailed
briefing regarding security arrangements; ensuring implementation of price act
by affixing price lists at prominent places and administrative measures to
ensure accurate measurement of weights at different stalls which would be
established at the Ramzan Bazars in the Division.

the District Population Office on a topic entitled "The role of chairman;
vice chairman and councilors of local Government in promoting initiative of
population departments".
The
ceremony was presided over District population officer Bahawalpur syed Zeeshan
Arif while attended by 15 Chairmen; Vice Chairmen and 20 Councilors of local
Government in Bahawalpur.
District
Population Officer Syed Zeeshan Arif; Deputy District Population Officer Mian
Idrees and Molana Abdul Razaq Shaiq spoke on the occasion to highlight the
crucial and effective role of elective representatives of local Government to
promote public awareness about population explosion which has created huge
socio-economic challenges to both in our society and state.
The
local Government representatives assured their full co-operation in this

VROs resolved 544 complaints by mobilizing effective and result oriented
consultation process
BAHAWALPUR(PR)Under the
directions of Regional Police Officer Bahawalpur Dr. Ehsan Sadiq VROs resolved
as many as 544 complaints by mobilizing effective and result oriented
consultation process through the mutual consent of the contesting parties. Out
of these 544 complaints which were resolved in 4 police stations of city
Bahawalpur circle include: - 199 in police station civil lines; 163 in Police
station Cant; 112 in Police Station of Baghdad-ul-Jadeed and 70 in police
station Kotwali. These complaints were primarily concerned with domestic
disputes; petty quarrels and issue of monetary exchange verification of
documents. Besides, VROs got registered 38 criminal cases against the offenders
on purely on merit.
"VROs newly implemented
consultative mechanism has mitigated the trend of litigation and has promoted a
mutual consultative culture to resolve complaints to the mutual satisfactions
of both the contesting parties", A Police Spokesperson maintained.

Iqbal Open University at Islamabad, here, today. During the visit, she also met
with Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shahid Siddiqui. Vice Chancellor briefed the
visiting MNA about different arrangement of imparting skill and education to
special children. Vice Chancellor maintained that special Cabins have been
established which are equipped with brain system and other visual formats

Bahawalpur Division has underlined the need to expect the efforts to ensure
effective, tangible and solid mechanism of flood fighting in Bahawalpur
Division. He issued these directions to all relevant departments during a high
level meeting which held in his office conference room to review the flood
fighting arrangements in mechanism for Bahawalpur.
The meeting was briefed in detail by various
steps undertaken both by irrigation department and all other relevant
departments and organizations to make special arrangements regarding flood
fighting in the Bahawalpur Division. The meeting specially focused at
protection of flood protective dikes and effective monitoring of critical and
vulnerable points to save the people and property to ensure safety of the
residents and their property in the reverence are of Bahawalpur Division. The
meeting was also informed that 18 vulnerable points at different flood
protecting dikes which include:- 8 in Bahawalnagar and 7 at in Rahim Yaar Khan
districts in the riverine area are
speedily being rehabilitated and strengthened by mobilizing all available
resources.

a comprehensive and result oriented mechanism by effective and vigorous
inter-action between them to put in place a solid flood fighting mechanism in
Bahawalpur Region.
The
meeting was attended by District Coordination Officer Dr. Ehtasham Anwar Mahar,
Additional Commissioner Coordination Saqib Ali Ateel or through video link
District Coordination Officer Bahawalnagar Saeed Iqbal and Additional District
Collector Rahim Yaar Khan.
Mobilize all available resources to recover all outstanding dues to ensure
stable and sound fiscal system in Bahawalpur Division: Commissioner Bahawalpur Division

Saqib Zafar has directed all revenue officers and other relevant officials to
full mobilize all available resources to recover all outstanding dues to ensure
stable and sound fiscal system in Bahawalpur Division.
He issued these directions during
a video link conference which linked DCOs Bahawalnagar and Additional District
Collector Rahim Yaar Khan through video link while DCO Bahawalpur and all other
relevant officers were presented in the meeting.
Commissioner Bahawalpur Division
called upon all Districts Coordination officers and their subordinates officers
and officials in the revenue department to maximize their efforts to recover
100 percent outstanding dues in the 3 Districts in the Bahawalpur Division. He
further directed that weekly progress report of apprised of a achievements in
recovery of outstanding dues should be communicated to his office.
During the meeting detail
briefing regarding recovery of dues in various heads was held. The meeting was
comprised that in Bahawalpur Division the recovery of outstanding in various
sectors include:- “69% in Mutation fees; 89% in stamp duty; 57% in registration
fees; 105% in Capital value Tax; 93% in Agriculture Income Tax; 92% in Water
rate.
DCO Dr. Ehtasham Anwar Mahar Bahawalpur
informed the meeting that all different efforts are being made to ensure 100%
recovery of outstanding dues. He briefed the meeting that in various steps
recovery of outstanding dues in District Bahawalpur:- 60% in Mutation fees, 89%
in Stamp Duty, 82% in capital value Tax, 47% in Registration Fees, 80% in
Agriculture income tax. Through video link both district coordination officer
Bahawalnagar and additional district collector Rahim yaar Khan briefed the
commissioner about their achievements regarding their achievements in recovery
of outstanding dues in their respective districts. Additional District
Collector Rahim Yaar Khan briefed the meeting about recovery position in his
district which include:- 61% in mutation fees, 69% in Stamp duty, 55% in
registration fees, 80% in capital value tax and 81% in agriculture income tax.
Similarly the recovery achievements of outstanding dues in Bahawalnagar
District stands at:- 50% in Mutation, 63 % in Stamp duty, 46% in registration
fees, 124% in capital value tax and 72% in agriculture income tax.
