BAHAWALPUR(PR)The syndicate of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has fully endorsed the administrative, academic and financial steps taken by Prof Dr Qaiser Mushtaq Vice Chancellor for progress and development of the university .The members have also appreciated security measures taken at all the campuses to ensure safety of employees and students particularly construction of 11.5 kilometer long boundary wall around Baghdad ul Jadeed Campus in a record time of 45 days with appropriate cost. The 62nd meeting of the syndicate held under the chair of Prof Dr Qaiser Mushtaq Vice Chancellor at Abbasia Campus yesterday. The appointment of professors, associate professors in various departments including   some administrative posts was also approved. The proposal of five percent job quota for minorities was also given approval. The members included Prof Dr Zia ul Qayyum ,Vice Chancellor University of Gujrat, Justice (R) Muhammad Zafar Yaseen, Dr Shehzad Qaiser ,Ex Federal Secretary, Prof Dr Ghazala Yasmin, farmer chief executive PIMS, Prof Dr Muhammad Asghar Hashmi, Dean Science Faculty, Prof Dr Mahmood Ahmad, Dean Pharmacy Faculty, Khalil ur Rehman Assistant Professor Geography Department ,Rabia  Yasmin, Principal Government College for Women Bahawalpur, Dr Shoaib Anwer Additional Secretary Higher Education Department, Dr Abdul Sattar Khan, Registrar and Fakhar Bashir, Treasurer.
