BAHAWALPUR(PR)A Prize distribution ceremony for the
winners of Chief Minister Punjab's Debate; Essay writing; Qirrat and Naat
recitation competition was held at Government Girls Degree College, Dubai
palace road, Bahawalpur, here, today. MPA Fouzia Ayyub Qureshi was the chief
guest on the occasion.
The ceremony was attended by Director
Colleges Bahawalpur Professor Dr. Mahmood-ul-Hasan; Principal Government girls
Degree college Dubai Palace road Ms. Nizhat Naazli and a large number of
teachers and students.
MPA Fouzia Ayub Qureshi gave away a
prize amounting to Rs. 1 lakh and 50 thousand and certificates of distinction
to the two students of Government Girls Degree college Dubai palace road Areeba
khan and Qandeel Fatima who got prominent position at the provincial level. MPA
Fouzia Ayub Qureshi also gave away prizes to the winner of different categories
of Chief Minister Punjab's competition of speeches; debates; essay writing;

for first position holder; Rs. 3 thousand for second position holder; while Rs.
2 thousand for the third position holder in each category.
While speaking on the occasion MPA
Fouzia Ayub Qureshi paid rich tribute to the outstanding performance of the
competitors to enhance the intellectual recognition of Bahawalpur by winning
top positions at speech competition at provincial level. MPA Fouzia Ayub
Qureshi said that the extracurricular activities of speech competition; essay
writing; Qirrat and Naat would both enlightened the intellectual and spiritual
faculties of the students who would help form a strong; vibrant and forward
looking human resource base in the country. She highly appreciated landscape
this effective and sustained mechanism of exploring the innate creative talent
of our youth. Director Colleges Professor Dr. Mehmood-ul-Hasan and Principal
Professor Nizhat Naazli also spoke on the occasion.

year of 2016-17 has been issued. This new tax regime would come into effect
from July 1st, 2016.

Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channer has said that cash prizes amounting to Rs. 160
Million have been presented to the winners of Chief Minister Punjab's speech;
essay writing; Qirrat and Naat competition in Punjab province. This wide
ranging intellectual exploration endeavor would go to a long way in
establishing a vigorous; vibrant and sustainable; spiritual and intellectual
socio cultural base in our society. He made these remarks while speaking as a
chief guest for prize distribution ceremony which was held at Government Post
Graduate College, here, today.
"Our nation's march towards
establishing and egalitarian; liberal and progressive society is linked with
promoting the culture of knowledge economy", the Minister maintained.
Chief Minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif's initiative of engaging
thousands of students in wide ranging extracurricular engagement has provided
them an opportunity not only to participate in this intellectual exploration
process but it has also accelerated the pace of steam-lining the intellectual
base of our society", Mr. Iqbal Channer maintained.
Provincial Minister Malik Muhammad
Iqbal Channer further maintained that Government of Punjab has enrolled 1.4
million new students during the enrollment campaign has appointed one lakh and
35 thousand new teachers through transparent and merit based mechanism. He also
revealed that as many as 500 young; bright and talented students are acquiring
proficiency in Chinese language.
Director Colleges Professor Dr.
Mehmood-ul-Hasan while giving briefing maintained that as many as 82 winners of
competition of different categories has been awarded with a cash prize to the
tune of Rs. 11 lakh and 50 thousand. Earlier, Provincial Minister Malik
Muhammad Iqbal Channer gave away prizes among the winners.

Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar has maintained that a vigorous and vibrant mechanism is
underway for providing basic civic amenities to the citizens and to enhance the
aesthetic landscape of District Bahawalpur. He was speaking as Chief Guest at
the concluding session of 2 day workshop organized by public health engineering
department, here, today.

sanitation" is a forward looking initiative to steam-line our sanitation
system on modern lines to establish a decent and healthy environment", DCO
Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar maintained.
He directed that all out efforts
should be made by all the concerned departments and agencies to extend modern
sanitation facilities in the rural areas of Bahawalpur. X-en public health
engineering Syed Baqir Riffat Gurdezi; community development officer Ms. Sada
Yasmin also spoke of various steps taken to extend modern sanitation facilities
in the rural areas of Bahawalpur. The speaker maintained that the conceptual
theme of the workshop was to enhance the level of public awareness about these
significance of sanitation to promote healthy and congenial environment. Ms.
Sadia Yasmin revealed that out of 730 villagers 3091 villages have been
provided access of latrines for the residents of the rural areas. Besides,
Public health engineering Department; local government department; UNICEF and
NRSP are jointly engaged to provide modern sanitary facilities in 197 villages
in Bahawalpur.

committee Bahawalpur would hold a one day regional police conference on
"Changing police culture promoting responsiveness and honesty" at Wasaib hall near Dubai Chowk Bahawalpur.
Minister of State for Higher
education and Interiors Engineer Mian Muhammad Baleegh-ur-Rehman would be the
Chief Guest.

RPO Dr. Ehsan Sadaq has said that as
many as 200 Police officials have been sent out of Bahawalpur District on
account of awarding punishment for laxity in performing their duties.
“Modern policing is shaped by the operational
philosophy of mitigating "Trust Deficit" and establishing vigorous
and vibrant and close interaction between Police and citizens”, He underlined.
He made these remarks while addressing
the open Kachehri at Bahawalnagar here today. "Defective investigation
process has been earning bad made due to descendant and disconnect
investigation process", He said. "Present Government has undertaken
different initiatives including establishing "state of the Art
modern" forensic Laboratory to channelize the investigation process in
accordance with the dictate of modern age", He noted.
RPO further said that Officer's as
many as 28 thousands issues pertaining to minor crime against person and
property were resolved through consultative and conflict resolution mechanism
facilitated by the community members and headed by VORs during the last one
year", he claimed.
RPO strictly directed police officials
to launch a crackdown against gambling and narcotics, Dens and brothel house
during the holy month of Ramzan. The RPO
was informed by the public that the former DPO has established Eagle Squad
which has drastically reduced Street crimes in the city. During the Khuli
Kachehri participants presented their complaints and RPO issued directions to
redress the grievances through in accordance with law.
