BAHAWALPUR(PR)A knowledge monument dedicated to educational services of late Nawab Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan Abbasi V has been established infront of Abasia Campus, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Engr. Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman Minister of State for Education and Interior Affairs along with Prof. Dr. Qaiser Mushtaq Vice Chancellor, Saqib Zafar Commissioner Bahawalpur and Dr. Ahsan Sadiq Regional Police Officer Bahawalpur jointly inaugurated the monument. President of Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and industry Zafar Sharif, Dr. Rana Muhammad Tariq President City Police Liaison Committee, Deans model showing book and a pen has been designed under supervision of Prof. Dr. Qaiser Mushtaq Vice Chancellor the Islamia University of Bahawalpur as a number of teachers and students present their models, faculty members, members of media and civil society and students were present in large number. The and finally the present model was selected and installed at university chowk. On this occasion Engr. Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman said that this monument is part of university and district government’s joint efforts to revive the beauty of Bahawalpur city. Both the institutions have already decorated the streets of the city with wall paintings of IUB students. The revival of old city gates and fort Derawar and establishment of model and craft bazaars are part of these efforts. He felicitated Prof. Dr. Qaiser Musthaq Vice Chancellor, Saqib Zafar Commissioner, Dr. Nasarullah Khan Nasir Principal University College of Art and Design, faculty member Ali Naeem and student Ansar Fareed for beautiful design and completion of the knowledge monument.
