BAHAWALPUR(PR)District environment protection department Bahawalpur organized a public awareness walk to raise public consciousness regarding multi-faceted impacts on bio diversity and echo-system. Walk started from Farid Gate Bahawalpur and ended at Quaid-e-Azam Medical College. The Participants carried play card & banners regarding impact of climate change etc. The participants include EDO community development Aftab Pirzada, EDO Health Dr. Shahid Khaleeq, Distt. Officer environment Aamir Irshad Rehmani, DO enterprises Pervez Fahim Bukhari. DO cooperative Malik Jamshaid,  and Operation Manager BWMC  Imtiaz-Ullah.

BAHAWALPUR(PR)Minister of State for Higher Education and Interior Engineer Baligh-ur-Rehman has said that police has brave and courageous police officers and officials braced martyrdom to safeguard our motherland. Thousands of police soldiers and officers sacrificed their lives in-line of their duties against the menace of crime and terrorism. He made these remarks while speaking as chief guest at the conference entitled:- "Changing police culture promoting responsiveness and honesty" which was organized by Citizen Police liaison Committee Bahawalpur, here, today.
The ceremony was attended by Regional Police Officer Dr. Ehsan Sadiq; District Police Officer Bahawalpur Sarfraz Ahmad Falki; DPO Rahim Yar Khan Zeshan Asghar; Chairman CPLC Dr. Rana Muhammad Tariq; prominent intellectuals Habibullah Bhutta and Tabish Alwari; Victim Response Officers; prominent members of Bar; academia intellectual and Media persons.
"To win war against terrorism and to wage battle against crime police rended glorious services which has improved its public image", The Minister maintained.
He further said that rule of law is imperative to establish a modern; progressive and forward looking society which demands a highly competent; well trained and well equipped police force, therefore the present Government has established state of the art forensic lab to adopt modern police investigation methods; operationlized Dolphin force to fight street crimes and steam-lined the mechanism of CPLC's which have brought both public and police closer together.
State Minister highly appreciated the new initiatives of Regional Police Officer Bahawalpur of appointing victim response officers in all police stations of Bahawalpur region which has promoted culture of community policing by adopting consultative mechanism to resolve minor crimes both against person and property which if were left un-addressed and un-resolved had led to a long process of litigation.
He said the Chief Minister Punjab has accorded approval to establish Dolphin force in Bahawalpur.
Minister of State Engineer Baligh-ur-Rehman said that the present Government has introduced a corruption free governance model which has been endorsed by Transparency International as well. He said that all international financial institutions and business experts have appreciated the corruption free fiscal management and growth oriented economic policy of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. He said that 46 billion Chinese investments through cepec is a global game changer which is a practical manifestation of present Government's commitment to usher in a new era of peace and prosperity.
DCO Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar prohibited the entry of un-concerned persons within the area of 100 meters  of the examination centre of Punjab Public Service Commission


BAHAWALPUR(PR)DCO Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar prohibited the entry of un-concerned persons within the area of 100 meters radius of the examination centre of Punjab Public Service Commission established at S.E College Bahawalpur.
Under section 144 this order would come into effect immediately and would remain in operation till the ending of examination.

No child would remain outside school system under the universal enrolment scheme:Iqbal Channer

BAHAWALPUR(PR)Provincial Minister for Co-operative Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channer has expressed the hope that no child would remain outside school system under the universal enrolment scheme launched on the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. He made these remarks as a Chief Guest on award and prize giving ceremony held for the winners of Chief Minister Punjab's competition program for English and Urdu debate; essay writing; Qirrat and Naat recitation held at S.D high school, here, today.
Provincial Minister Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channer highly appreciated the outstanding performance of students who earned honor and glory for Bahawalpur by their outstanding performance at provincial level.
The ceremony was informed that Bahawalpur's students have won cash prizes to the tune of Rs. 7 Lakh and 52 thousand. Later, he gave away cash prizes and awards among the winners.
The ceremony was attended by MPA Hasina Naz; DO Education Ch. Bashir; DEO Ch. Ali Ahmad; Principal S.D high School Ch. Naseem; Chairman union council Bilal Baluch and a large number of teachers and students.

BAHAWALPUR(PR)MPA Fouzia Ayub Qureshi has said that Chief Minister Punjab's speech; debate; essay writing; Qirrat and Naat recitation competition has explored the innate intellectual talent of our young students which would restructure the spiritual and intellectual societal framework. She made these remarks while speaking as chief guest at cash prize and award giving ceremony held at Government Girls higher secondary school satellite town Bahawalpur, here, today.
The ceremony was attended by officials of Education department; teachers and students. Later, she gave away prizes to the winner students.


MNA and member committee for Information and Broadcasting Begum Perveen Masood Bhatti has said that budget for the year 2016-17 which has allocated of Rs. 700 billion agri-looms ear marked a subsidy of Rs. 15 billion to reduce the prices of fertilizers from Rs. 400 to Rs. 300 per bag and also allocating a subsidy of Rs. 27 billion on account of provision of electricity for running the tube wells.
She hoped that this would usher in a new era of vibrant; solid and strong agro industry which would bring economic comfort for millions of peasants in Pakistan.

One day conference “Changing Police Culture”: promoting responsiveness and honesty
BAHAWALPUR(PR)RPO Dr. Ehsan Sadaq has said that vood to change conventional policing had been hampered by centuries old decadent and discordant systematic socio cultural speak- breakers which are being removed   through redesigning institutional restructuring of policing through numerous positive, progressive, interventions which include:- Investigation by adopting forensic facilities, establishing front desks in police stations, and revitalizing Citizens police liaison committee. These new initiatives are accelerating the pace of mitigating trust deficit between police and citizens but would also pave the way to institutionalize a new people- friendly policing operational frame work which would wipe-pout centuries old Thana Culture from our system.
He made these remarks while addressing a seminar entitled a new policing in a one day conference “Changing Police Culture”: promoting responsiveness and honesty. The seminar was organized by Bahawalpur Police Liaison Committee at the local restaurant. Minister of State for Higher Education and Interior Engineer Belig-ur-Rehman presided over the ceremony.
The one day conference was attended by District Police Officers, Police Officers of the Region, Victim Response Force, Community Members, intellectual, academic, and Media persons.
RPO said that modern society demands a new policing which should not impose its authority through coercive and illegitimate measures because driving force of this new age Progressivism and Humanism: all these shinning Civilizational forces have ushered in a new Era which adheres to constitutionalism to regulate both state and society. He said that the key of knowledge and supremacy of law unlocked the doors of peace and prosperity for modern world. These co-ordinal principles are vital to shape our policing and Governess model to fulfill the multi-feasted and multi-dimensional Scio-Cultural, Administrative and Governess demands of our times.
“All Counter forces and actors who would stand against the forces of new change would be consigned to the dustbin of the history”, he underlined.
He hoped that all Stakeholders should come forward to play their rule. Dr. Ehsan Sadaq maintained that despite massive financial injunction into the policing system. The system had been played by the crisis of legitimacy which had been crystallized due to complex Socio-Cultural and Historical factors coupled with in-efficiency and menace of Corruption but this system is being replaced by new and humane policing frame-work by introducing new initiatives like Victim Response Officers in Bahawalpur police Region.
“The appointment of 72 Victim Response Officers (VORs) is an outstanding footstep towards shifting the Traditional Thana Culture by introducing model: which are to receive; response, resolve and registration the complaints lodged at police stations”, he noted.
He said that these 72 (VORs) by adopting a mutual consultative and community based frame work resolution mechanism have considerably check the culture of litigation which has not only saved precious financial resources but has helped harmonizing societal  cohesiveness.
“These 72 ROS resolved as  many as 25 thousand miner criminal complaints and registered a total Sum of 3471 FIRS purely on merit”, he claimed.
No complaints of misbehaviors, coercion, and financial corruption was lodged against these VORs, these talented honest police officers are pride of police department and police force solutes them.
Earlier DPO Bahawalpur Sarfraz Ahmed Falki also spoke on the need to modernize the present police force. Regional police officers highly paid rich tribute to the outstanding services of minister of state for Higher Education and interior Engineer Belig-ur-Rehman on whose recommendations Chief Minister Punjab gave approval to establish Citizens Police Liaison in all districts of Punjab. He also paid thanks to the Minister for playing his rule for getting the approval to establish special Dolphin Force at Bahawalpur. Later Minister of State for Higher Education & Interior prominent intellectual gave away commemorative Shields among the VROS.
