(PR) On the direction of Prof. Dr. Qaiser
Mushtaq, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Quality Enhancement
Cell organized a Capacity Building Workshop on Research methodology and Paper
Writing for Social Sciences. Nominated Non Ph.D faculty members and senior Ph.D
scholars of the faculty of Education, Islamic Learning, Arts and Management Sciences
attended the workshop. The speakers highlighted all aspects of Research
Methodology and Data Analysis techniques comprehensively.
The QEC team of the Islamia University
of Bahawalpur also visited Bahawalnagar Campus, to take Teacher and Course
Evaluation by students for fall semester 2016. Dr. Saeed Ahmad Buzdar, Director
QEC highlighted the objectives of the QEC team visit to the students. Students of
different classes shared their learning experience with QEC team and pinpointed
various problems being faced at campus. An orientation session on Academic
& Research Ethics was also organized by QEC team.

member of Youth Parliament Pakistan (YPP) for the year 2016-2017

(PR) Wardah Gull, student of Department of
Management Sciences, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has been selected
member of Youth Parliament Pakistan (YPP) for the year 2016-2017. 60 members
from across Pakistan are selected as members of Youth parliament on the basis
of their expression of interest and other screening interviews.
Ramadan Package is a people-friendly project of Punjab government:Hameeda Waheed ud Din

Development, Hameeda Waheed ud Din has said that Ramadan Package is a people-friendly
project of Punjab government to provide relief to the common man during the
holy month. She said that spirit of public service will have to be displayed for
providing benefit of this package to the citizens in the real sense.
She expressed
these views during her visit to Ramadan bazaars of Malakwal, Mauza Rukan and
Phalia, district Mandi Bahauddin. Assistant Commissioner Malakwal Asif Raza and
Assistant Commissioner Phalia Kashif Raza Awan informed the Minister about the facilities
being provided to the consumers in Ramazan bazaars. The Minister expressed
satisfaction over the arrangements and appreciated district administration
Mandi Bahauddin on providing maximum facilities in Ramadan bazaars. She visited
different stalls and inspected edible items. The consumers told the Minister
that all essential commodities are available in Ramadan bazaar. She also checked
complaints register and issued directions to AC Malakwal for immediate action on
the complaints. She said that Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is also
paying surprise visits to Ramadan bazaars. She said that people should be
served in the month of Ramadan as a religious obligation. Hameeda Waheed un Din
informed that she had been appointed In-charge of Ramadan bazaars in Mandi
Bahauddin and would continue to visit these bazaars.
