Dr.Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar has directed to the administrators of 12 Ramzan Bazars to ensure smooth and effective functioning of Ramzan Bazars till 6:00 PM in district Bahawalpur

BAHAWALPUR(PR)District Co-ordination Officer Bahawalpur Dr.Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar has directed to the administrators of 12 Ramzan Bazars to ensure smooth and effective functioning of Ramzan Bazars till 6:00 PM in district Bahawalpur. He issued these directions to the administrators of the Ramzan Bazars in 5 tehsils of the Bahawalpur district during a surprise visit at Ramzan Bazar Meley wali Gali.

"During his visit District Co-ordination Officer was briefed that as many as 48 raids were conducted and a fine to the tune of Rs. 69700/- was imposed upon the 49 violators of price control act by the 5 Assistant Commissioners in all tehsils of the district Bahawalpur which include:- 6 raids were conducted by Assistant Commissioner Bahawalpur Sadar Husnain Khalid Sanpal and imposed a fine to the tune of Rs. 8000/-; 48 raids were conducted by Assistant Commissioner Hasilpur Waseem Anwer Khan and imposed a fine to the tune of Rs. 12000/- upon the 15 violators; Assistant Commissioner Yazman Shakil Ahmad has imposed a fine to the tune of Rs. 12200/- upon the 10 violators; Assistant Commissioner Ahmadpur east Rana Amjad Ali imposed a fine to the tune of Rs. 26000/- upon the 18 violators. Similarly, Assistant Comissioner Khairpur Tamewali Jam Aftab Hussain imposed a fine to the tune of Rs. 11500/- upon the violators.

District Co-ordination Officer Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar inspected different stalls of kitchen items. fruits; vegetables; soft drinks; fair price shops and special stalls to provide flour and sugar at the subsidized rates. He thoroughly checked the quality of all the food stuff monitored the operational management to provide edibles to the consumers during his inspection of Ramzan Bazar.

"Digital price boards installed at the 12 Ramzan Bazars in the district is an effective initiative for accurate weighing of the food stuff which serve to protect the economic rights of the consumers", DCO maintained.

Health department would observe a week of cleanliness  till 7th of July

BAHAWALPUR(PR)Health department would observe a week of cleanliness at all health facilities till 7th of July. This was stated by EDO health Dr. Shahid Khaliq.

"Under the direction of DCO Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar, a special drive has been undertaken to observe cleanliness at all health facilities of Bahawalpur district which include:- DHQ; All THQs; Health centers; Rural health centers and BHUs", the EDO maintained.

BAHAWALPUR(PR)850 waste workers and 50 waste collecting vehicles has been assigned the task to ensure waste management during the Eid holidays and all leaves of sanitary officers and inspectors has been cancelled to ensure the smooth and effective management of the waste during Eid days. This was stated by MD Bahawalpur Waste Management Company Naeem Akhter while presiding over a high level meeting to finalize waste management plan.

"Special emergency response teams have been constituted which would be supervised by operational department to keep all religious places; official; public and private buildings; parks; recreation centers and major roads of the Bahawalpur city", the MD maintained.
