Bahawalpur(PR)Kashmir is the unfinished agenda of the June 3rd 1947
partition plan of Indo-Pakistan which has been recognized by the United Nations
Security Council in its resolution some 67 years ago. Therefore, Indian
government's shameful act of brutality and state sponsored acts of cruelty
should be condemned by the international community. The Pakistan Government's
observing National Kashmir black day has the complete support of 200 million Pakistanis.
This was stated by the speakers at a Seminar organized by Al-Sadiq Desert
Welfare Organization and Bahawalpur Arts Council Bahawalpura, yesterday .

The Pass percentage of the candidates stands at 75.70
percent. The total number of successful candidates stands at 55375 out of 73154
total numbers of candidates who appeared in this examination.

Chaudhry gave sympathetic hearing to the different grievances and complaints of
the inmates and directed the Jail authorities to redress the grievances and
complaints of the inmates.
He directed the jail authorities to release 2 inmate
children on his personal assurance.
Punjab government is committed to supply of pure and portable water to the millions of residents of Bahawalpur division:Saqib Zafar
BAHAWALPUR(PR)Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Saqib Zafar has said
that Punjab government is committed to supply of pure and portable water to the
millions of residents of Bahawalpur division by establishing 70 main water
supply stations which would be linked through pipelines with 950 water
facilitation centers which would be accessible to the residents to get high
quality and pure water. This second phase of Khadim-e-Punjab saaf Pani Program
would start functioning by December 2018. He made these remarks while presiding
over a high-level meeting to review the ongoing work on this second phase of
Khadim-e-Punjab saaf pani program in Bahawalpur division The meeting was
attended by Parliamentary secretary MNA
Mian Najeeb-ud-deen Awaisi; Regional director Khadim-e-Punjab Saaf pani
Program Major retired Khalid Baluch and
other relevant officers and officials of the concerned departments.
"As many as 9 tehsils of Bahawalpur division
would be covered under the second phase of this water supply program which
include:- Tehsil Bahawalpur; Tehsil Ahmadpur East; Tehsil Yazman; Tehsil Khairpur
Tamewali; Tehsil Rahim Yar Khan; Tehsil Liaqatpur; Tehsil Khanpur; Tehsil
Sadiqabad and Tehsil Hasilpur", the Commissioner Saqib Zafar maintained.
Commissioner further deliberated that out of 70 main
water supply stations and 950 water facilitation centers would be functionalize
in 9 tehsils which include:- 29 main water supply stations and 312 water
facilitation centers in Tehsil Ahmadpur East; 13 main water supply stations and
246 water facilitation centers in Tehsil Bahawalpur; 8 main water supply
stations and 72 water facilitation centers in Tehsil Hasilpur; 8 main water
supply stations and 167 water facilitation centers in Tehsil Khairpur Tamewali
while 12 main water supply stations and 153 water facilitation centers in Tehsil
Yazman.
Commissioner Bahawalpur Saqib Zafar has said that
Khadim-e-Punjab Saaf pani program is aimed to provide pure, hygienic and clean
portable water through this comprehensive and forward looking program. He said
that government has planned to provide portable water in the far flung rural
areas which would serve as a major initiative to extend this water supply
facility on modern scientific lines. This program has envisaged covering all
the areas of Bahawalpur division.
Commissioner Bahawalpur called upon the concerned
authorities to mobilize all available resources to ensure high quality of
development work.
Earlier, Regional Director Khadim-e-Punjab Saaf pani
program Major retired Khalid Baluch briefed the meeting that in the first phase
of Khadim-e-Pujab saaf Pani Program 46 reverse osmosis plants have been
installed in 3 Tehsils: Hasilpur; Khanpur and Minchanabad of district Bahawalpur.
These water supply facilities are providing portable water to the residents of
concerned area.
