BAHAWALPUR(PR)Bahawalpur Police has arrested a bus conductor Imran Ghauri after
registering a criminal case against him on the charges of committing sodomy
with a 15 years old student of special education centre for mentally retorted
children (Shadab), District Bahawalpur.
Police Station Baghdad-ul-Jadeed has started criminal proceeding
against the accused bus conductor on the directions of District Coordination
Officer Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar who has asked District Police
Officer Bahawalpur for registering a criminal case against the accused bus
conductor.
On receiving the complaints of sexual assault against the 15
years old mentally retorted student by the bus conductor, DCO immediately
directed Assistant Commissioner Bahawalpur city and EDO community development
to reach on the spot. The initial investigation into the matter by these two
officers confirmed that the student was sexually assaulted. Medical examination
of the student was conducted at Bahawal Victoria Hospital which confirmed that
sodomy was committed with the student.
On receiving the Medical report of the case, DCO Bahawalpur Dr.
Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar asked DPO Bahawalpur to register a criminal case against
the accused. Police station Baghdad-ul-Jadeed has lodged an FIR against accused
Imran Ghauri and arrested him.
DCO Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar has suspended the
accused bus conductor and has initiated strict disciplinary action against him
under PEEDA act
