PATHETIC CONDITION OF BAHAWAL VICTORIA HOSPITAL BAHAWALPUR

Bahawal Victoria  Hospital was properly established in 1906, located in District  Bahawalpur.  It is one of the largest Hospital of Southern Punjab for the proper medication of residents of the area as well as sorroundings. There are thousands of patients daily came from neighboring Districts;   but remarkably observed from Sind Province for the better treatment. 

But painfully observed  in recent scenario this esteemed organization

is in it's deteriorating/haggard condition facing due to the lack of proper & effective management besides internal politics and favoritism involved on its peak between entire hospital staff and management.  Acting (M.S.)  Mr . Javed  Akhtar who has been 

working  as  "ADDITIONAL M.S."   from so many years without rotation of his duties,  due to the favoritism of authorities.   NOW  whereas he had taken charge of ACTING (M.S. ). But after taking over his charge there are so many groups headed-out to provocation purpose to fulfill their conflicts or to have benefits.

Besides above facts & figures  the environment of inside the Hospital's jurisdiction is as under:-

All the Wards and Departments are in worst condition; doctors don't give proper attention to the patients.  Mostly Senior doctors whom are also Head / In charge  of the Departments/wards have not been attending Hospital regularly rather they are interested in their private clinics.  Wards have stinking bad smell, the bed sheets are not regularly changed or washed.  Sweepers are might to be the king of wards,  in-fact they always in dire wait for tips from the attendants of patients for better cleanliness.  The  Departments of Outdoor and Emergency beyond help, Non availability of Senior Doctors and medicines.  Only Junior doctors and House Jobians attend the crowd of patients.  Cleanliness is no matter, large number of insects / fleas and cat's roaming freely.  The terrible stench from the toilets could be smelled till the end of corridors which is so depressing.  Department. of Cardiology is most of the sensitive area but no proper facilities available.  Department of Gynecology is the most dirtiest ward.  Children ward is pity able where on (ONE (1) bed 4 to 5 children being treated.

Due to the carelessness of doctors towards patients common people preferred visit to their private clinics where doctor's highly paid by people while doctors/professors are receiving millions in shape of salaries  and benefits enjoying from Bahawal Victoria H officially. Reliable sources says that Honorable Commissioner Bahawalpur Division  (R) Saqib Zafar made surprise visits to Emergency to check the services provided to  people, but there is no  heed.

In the end it is requested to CHIEF MINISTER PUNJAB, SECRETARY HEALTH PUNJAB & COMMISSIONER Bahawalpur  DIVISION  to probe into the matter personally and arrange to appoint a permanent MEDICAL SUPERINTENDENT (M.S)    OF  Bahawal Victoria Hospital ;  and keep your frequent check & balance over the internal control avoiding political pressure and groupings  for the betterment of patients as well as noble organization.
