BAHAWALPUR(PR)Provincial Minister for Cooperative Malik Muhammad
Iqbal Channar has said that Government of Punjab's massive kisan package
amounting to Rs. 100 billion would inject tangible financial input into the
agriculture sector which would revolutionize our rural based agro economy on
scientific lines. This historic kisan package is the practical reflection of
Chief Minister Punjab's special attachment with the million of peasants and
farmers who would be the real beneficiaries of this financial assistance. He
made these remarks while addressing a public gathering of farmers and peasants
at Lal Suhanra, district Bahawalpur. Malik Zaheer Iqbal Channar, Malik Jafar
Bhatti, Chaudhry Ghulam Sarwer, Fargham Ishtiaq Farri bhai, Chaudhry Fazal
Elahi, Anwer Goraya, Chairman Union Council Rai Asad Rasool, Haji Jind Wadda,
Haji Manzoor Khan Baloch and a large number of farmers and peasants were also
present on this occasion.
"100 billion rupees kisan package, 300 billion
rupees safe water project and 100 billion rupees rural road expansion
initiatives of extending modern socio physical infrastructure to the common
people which would accelerate the pace of march towards egalitarian
society", Provincial Minister Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar maintained.
Provincial Minister Malik Muhammad Channar further
maintained that Government of Punjab has devised a financial mechanism with the
collaboration of federal government to extend direct financial subsidy to the
farmers under the direction of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
Later, Provincial Minister Malik Muhammad Iqbal
Channar inaugurated a new cotton factory project in a private sector.

division, Syed Tariq Mahmood Bukhari has said that good governance is
based
upon promoting merit oriented and transparent institutional mechanism
which is
a key policy component of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif
and
Director General anti-corruption Brigadier(R) Muzaffar Iqbal's vibrant
and
dynamic vision of establishing a corruption free society. He made these
remarks
while addressing a seminar held at Government S.E College Bahawalpur.
The Seminar was attended by Principal College Professor Dr. Wali
Muhammad, former president Chamber of commerce and MD Shamim group of
industries Dr. Rana Tariq, Deputy Director anti-corruption Faisal Ataa,
Chaudhry Zahid Majeed, Abid Nisar, Akhter Bhatti, Rashid Maqbool,
teachers, students,
civil society representatives and other officers and officials of the
concerned
departments.
"Punjab government has undertaken a solid and
effective policy initiative which would sharpen the vigil of monitoring the
functioning of the state institutions to streamline their working purely on
rule based administrative paradigm", Regional Director Anti-corruption
maintained.
He further said that corruption in a
multi-dimensional and multi-faceted societal phenomenon which must be rooted
out to establish a corruption free society. Syed Tariq Mahmood Bukhari urged
upon the youth to adhere to universal socio-cultural normative operational
value system which is critical to establish good governance.
Regional Director Anti-corruption also said that
anti-corruption department Bahawalpur has launched a comprehensive drive to
promote public awareness regarding serious socio-economic, socio cultural and
administrative repercussion which eats into the vitals of the organic societal
core structure. He urged upon the all segments of society to play their
constructive and tangible role to wipe out the menace of corruption from
society.
The seminar was also addressed by former president
chamber of commerce Dr. Rana Tariq, Professor Dr. Wali Muhammad, Professor
Imtiaz Saleem Lodhi, Professor Asif Dewan, students:- Waqar Akram, Asma Akber
and Saneeaa who highlighted various aspects of corruption, its negative impacts
upon society and suggested different measures to eliminate this societal curse.
Later, a walk was also held under the banner of anti-corruption department
Bahawalpur division which started from the Regional Office of anti-corruption
department Bahawalpur and ended at Government S.E College Bahawalpur. The walk
was lead by Director anti-corruption Syed Tariq Mahmood Bukhari and the other
participants include: - Professor Dr. Wali Muhammad, former chamber of commerce
Dr. Rana Tariq, Media, government officers and officials and a large number of
civil society representatives.

Day at 10:00 AM on 7th of December at Government S.D model high
school Bahawalpur. On this occasion a seminar would also be held to highlight
the significance of right to vote and its impact on strengthening democracy.
The seminar would preside over by District Coordination Officer Bahawalpur Dr.

participated by Pak Army, Special Branch, Counter terrorism department
Bahawalpur, Punjab Emergency service Rescue 1122, Civil Defense department,
Police station civil lines and officials of Central Jail and borstle institute

Secretary federal ombudsman Peer Bukhsh Jamali said
that regional office of federal ombudsman is committed to provide in-expensive
and speedy justice at the door steps of the common people to mitigate their
sufferings.
