BAHAWALPUR(PR)MPA Fouzia Ayub Qureshi has
said that the glorious and splendid sacrifices rendered by The Martyrs of Army
Public School Peshawar would always stand as a glorious and proud heritage in
the annals of our national history when our young children brave the bullets of
the beasts but did not seek mercy from the terrorists. She made these remarks
while speaking as a chief guest at a seminar entitled "Salute to Martyrs
of Army Public School Peshawar" jointly organized by Bahawalpur Arts
Council Bahawalpur and Al Sadiq Desert Welfare Organization at Rasheedia
Auditorium Bahawalpur.
The seminar was attended by Resident Director
Bahawalpur Arts Council Rana Ajaz Mahmood, President Al Sadiq Desert Welfare
Organization Riaz Baloch, Senior District Officer Social Welfare Ghulam Yaseen
Baloch, Naseer Ahmad Nasir, Imran Bhinder, Abdul Ghaffar Baloch, Deputy
Director Public Relations Nasir Hameed, District Information Officer Syed Abid
Hassan Rizvi, District Health education Officer Zulqernain Jatoi, Famour Artist
Tahira Khan, political and social workers, students and civil society
representatives.
"The whole nation stands united under the
dynamic national leadership during the ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb which is
aimed to wipe out the menace of terrorism", MPA Fouzia Ayub Qureshi noted.
She further said that operation Zarb-e-Azb is the
collective endeavor which reflects our collective response against the
mischievous forces.

Mahmood said that Army Public School Peshawar Martyrs stand as the vanguard of
our consistent, bold and courageous struggle to decimate the root causes of
terror and extremism.
"Our proud sons wrote a new chapter of gallantry
and bravery by standing against the evil forces who attacked them while they
were studying at their schools", Resident Director Bahawalpur Arts Council
Rana Ajaz Mahmood noted.
Rana Ajaz Mahmood further said that APS Peshawar's
tragedy turned into a new collective paradigm shift which leads to launch a
comprehensive and wide ranging crackdown against terrorists. He paid rich
tribute to the glorious sacrifices of the martyrs of the Army public school
Peshawar.
Prominent columnist Naseer Ahmad Nasir said that
brave nation always remember their heroes and APS Martyrs would always stand
high at our national radar of glory and grace.
Chairman civil society forum Ijaz Arain said that the
collective efforts are needed to eliminate various sectarian and linguistics
acts of extremism. He said that our young children who sacrificed their lives
are our great heroes.
Editor The Daily Climax Madam Sumaira Danish in her
address maintained that 16 December is the day when our national history
changed. She said that by sacrificing their lives our brave sons provided as an
intellectual clarity which helped in formulating national action plan to fight
against terrorism.
"Twenty points of national action plan stand as
our Magna Carta to fight against extremism and terrorism", She noted.
The seminar was also addressed by President Al Sadiq
Desert Welfare Organization Riaz Baloch, Shaikh Tasneem, Mian Rizwan Majeed,
Zulqernain Jatoi and Senior District Officer Social Welfare Ghulam Yaseen
Baloch.
Later, FATIHA was also offered for the departed souls
of the Martyrs of Army Public Schools Peshawar.

Bahawalpur region organized training and public awareness camps for drivers at
Ada Musafir Khana and Zakheera Mod in which the concerned officials of Punjab
highway patrol delivered lectures to the participant drivers and road users
regarding traffic signals, traffic rules and the use of fog lights in winter
and foggy weather.

of Mother and Child was organized by the department of Population welfare
District Bahawalpur. The seminar was attended by a large number of
people from different walks of life and Officers and Officials of the concerned
departments.
The main speakers of the seminar were District
Population Welfare Officer Syed Zeeshan Arif, Instructor of Population welfare
training institute Lahore Mrs. Ammara Yousuf, Deputy District Population
welfare Officer Dr. Hafsa Rehman and Deputy Population Welfare Officer Muhammad
Idrees. The speakers highlighted various issues regarding safe health of Mother
and Child and various measures undertaken by the Population Welfare Department.

the inmate children of Borstle Institute and Juvenile Jail Bahawalpur by the
Social Welfare Department Bahawalpur. Prison authorities
appreciated this initiative of social welfare department and expect that these
measures will continue in future by the cooperation of philanthropists so that
the inmate children would become useful citizen of the society after release.

Shaikh Naeem paid a visit at Borstle Institute and Juvenile Jail
