BAHAWALPUR(By ISPR)International
Day for Special Children was celebrated in Cholistan Special Education School,
Bahawalpur under arrangements of Bahawalpur Corps. Corps Commander Bahawalpur
Lieutenant General Javed Iqbal and Begum Corps Commander specially participated
in the ceremony as chief guests. Children also displayed their skills and
talents by participating to the utmost.
At
the end of the ceremony, Corps Commander Lieutenant General Javed Iqbal
appreciated the handwork put in by school management and teachers and also
distributed prizes among children and teachers. Cholistan Special Education
School was established in 1997. Its purpose is to provide special education to not
only army brats but to all children of the region. This school not only helps
out parents of special children but also ensures quality grooming of special
children so that they can also become a useful member of society.
Ceremony
was attended by senior Army and civil officers as well as the parents of
children who greatly appreciated the endeavours of children.
