BAHAWALPUR(PR)Provincial Minister for Cooperative Malik Muhammad
Iqbal Channar has said that Punjab Government is fully committed to expand and
modernize road network to extend better connectivity in 36 districts of the
Punjab province by spending billions of rupees in the current fiscal year
2016-17. He made these remarks while inaugurating a 9 kilometer long road
network completed by spending Rs. 9 lac from Abbas Nagar to Basti Guddan Pur at
district Bahawalpur. The inaugurating ceremony was attended by Chairman Union
Council Anwer Goraya, Chaudhry Mushtaq and a large number of citizens.
"Chief Minister Punjab's modern connectivity
providing program is aimed to provide better access from farm to market would
not only provide better transport facilities but would also extend economic
relief to the million of peasants in the whole province", Provincial
Minister Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar noted.
He further said that millions of rupees projects of
rural roads program had already been completed at district Bahawalpur. He
announced to install two water filtration plants in the area also.
