Punjab Government has launched a comprehensive kitchen gardening program:Mian Najeeb-ud-Din Awaisi
                        BAHAWALPUR(PR)Punjab Government has launched a comprehensive kitchen gardening program which would promote a modern culture of cultivating vegetables by the people at their homes in 36 districts of Punjab Province. This was stated by Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Commerce and MNA Mian Najeeb-ud-Din Awaisi while presiding over a meeting held in connection with kitchen gardening at the office of Director Agriculture Extension. The meeting was attended by Director Agriculture Chaudhry Mohammad Munir, Deputy Director Mian Manzoor Ahmad, Assistant Director Hafiz Muhammad Shafiq, farmers and cultivators and other officers and officials of the concerned departments.
                                "A special counter at Government Shrub nursery Bahawalpur has been established to provide seed packets of vegetables at the concessional price of Rs. 50 per packet for raising summer vegetables", Mian Najeeb-ud-Din Awaisi maintained.
                                MNA Mian Najeeb-ud-Din Awaisi further said that both officers and officials should mobilize all available resources to ensure the target fixed for the kitchen gardening by the practical participation of people in this regard.
                                Director Agriculture Chaudhry Mohammad Munir, Deputy Director Agriculture Mian Manzoor Ahmad and Assistant Director Hafiz Mohammad Shafiq briefed the Parliamentary Secretary Mian Najeeb-ud-Din Awaisi about the various features of programs of kitchen gardening.

                      BAHAWALPUR(PR)  Islamia University Bahawalpur has undertaken various programs to sharpen the creative potential of the students which would usher in a new era of talented, bright and creative intellectuals in the coming years. These initiatives have the solid and sustained support and guidance of the Vice Chancellor Islamia University Bahawalpur Professor. Dr. Qaiser Mushtaq. This was stated by Dean Faculty of Arts Islamia University Bahawalpur Professor. Dr. Memona Ghani while speaking as a Chief Guest at a certificate giving ceremony to the trainees of theatrical performance and painting  jointly organized by Interactive Resource Centre, Islamia University Bahawalpur and Bahawalpur Arts Council, at Rasheedia Auditorium, on Sunday evening.
                                The ceremony was attended by Divisional Focal Person for Chief Minister Talent Hunt Program  Ajaz Mahmood, Focal Person and Coordinator Workshop Professor Dr. Shahzad Rana, Director Interactive Resource Centre Mohammad Waseem, and a large number of trainee students.
                                Director IRC in his address maintained that IRC was committed to promote cultural pluralism, intellectual inclusiveness, societal tolerance and co-existence by sharpening and channelizing the creative potential on modern progressive and liberal lines.
                              
                                Divisional Focal Person Chief Minister Talent Hunt Program  Ajaz Mahmood said that the joint venture of Bahawalpur Arts Council and IRC was aimed that producing an intellectual chain reaction to decimate the evil forces of parochialism, retro gressivism and extremism by conducting training workshops to infuse the intellectual spirit of humanism. Later, certificates were also distributed among the trainees by the honorable guests.

BAHAWALPUR(PR) Bahawalpur Economic Development Forum has donated first batch of medicines amounting to Rs. 2.1 million for the treatment of 200 patients of Hepatitis 'C' to the Medical Superintendent of Bahawal Victoria Hospital Dr. Rao Javed Akhter. The delegation of Bahawalpur Economic Development Forum who handed over the medicines include:- Dr. Rana Mohammad Tariq, Dr. Munir Azhar Chaudhry and Tariq Malik.
