A Day with Army
BAHAWALPUR(PR)A group of 60 students from Islamia University of
Bahawalpur and 50 x Madrassa students and faculty members belonging to Madrass
Jaamia - tul - Siddiqia, visited Bahawalpur cantonment to spend a day with Army
on 31 Oct to 6 Nov 2017 respectively. The programme was organised to
familiarize the students with working of Army, and introduce them to some
military equipment i.e. Tanks, Armoured Personnel Carriers and Small arms
firing. The aim is to enhance the morale and motivation of Pakistan youth and
build their confidence in Pakistan’s armed forces.
Students also enjoyed the tank rides. Students and
faculty members interacted with Brigade Commander and other officers. The Brigade Commander explained the role and
efforts of Armed Forces in ensuring the safety and security of the country.
Students displayed keen interest in the programme
and commended the sacrifices and resolve of Pakistan Army officers and troops
in the ongoing war against terrorism.
