BAHAWALPUR(PR)Malik Muhammad Rafiq Rajwana, Governor Punjab/ Chancellor distributed laptop under Phase-IV of Chief Minister Punjab Laptop Scheme in a dignified ceremony yesterday at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Prof. Dr. Qaiser Mushtaq, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Prof. Dr. Tallat Afza, Vice Chancellor, Government Sadiq College Women University, Bahawalpur, members of Provincial Assembly Fauzia Ayub Qureshi and Haseena Bagum, Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur, Rana Saleem Afzal, District Police Officer Capt. (R) Mustansar Feroz, Malik Allah Baksh Kuliyar, Malik Habib Ullah Bhutta, Syed Tabish Alwari, representatives of Chamber of Commerce, teachers and students were also present on this occasion. He said that Education policies of the government have promoted education at every level in the Punjab Province. Chief Minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has focused at education and equipped students with the latest IT gadgets to enhance their capacity to face with challenges of 21st century successfully. Previously guard of honour was given to Heads of State and today it is being presented to shining students as a reward of their hard work and scholarship. The Government has given special attention on social and economic development of Southern Punjab especially Bahawalpur, resultantly, this region has also flourish in the field of education with opening of new colleges and universities across the area. The Governor said that he is happy to see immense talent of the youth and with the blessing of Allah this land is very fertile. He praised academic and administrative achievements of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Qaiser Mushtaq and appreciated discipline and beauty of the campus. On this occasion, students also spoke and highlighted educational supporting schemes of the government and praised the visionary leadership of the Punjab Province.
