Secretary Information & Culture Rana Muhammad Arshad has said that three
new universities and 37 new degree colleges are being set up in the province
during current financial year. He said that one lakh laptops will be
distributed among the students. He said that paperwork has also been completed
for setting up of women universities in Multan and Bahawalpur. Rana Arshad said
that 58 crore rupees will be spent on providing missing facilities in the
colleges. He said that scholarships of more than five billion rupees have been
given to more than one lakh male and female students through Punjab Education
Endowment Fund. He said that enrolment of one lakh children and completion of
education through PEEF has brought a revolution which is being followed abroad.
