"Fast Track" Investigating process
BAHAWALPUR(PR) Regional Police
Officer Dr. Ehsan Sadiq has Appointed 72 Model Investigation Officers to ensure
"Fast Track" Investigating process to Expedite the Disposal of
pending cases in all the 72 Police Stations in Bahawalpur Police Range. He
issued these Directions during a high-level Meeting of Police Officers and
Officials in his Conference Room, here, today.
"Modern and Scientific Police
Investigating Process is Vital to Promote the culture of Speedy, Effective,
Transparent and Merit-Based Investigations of all Criminal cases" he
underlined.
Regional Police Officer Bahawalpur
maintained that broadly three Categories of complaints are lodged by
Complainants at the Police Stations which include:- Complaint against Property;
Complaints against Crime against persons and Complaints regarding various
Documents. He underlined that all complaints warrant prompt and just response
from Police Officers and Officials but delay due to lack of Capacity and
Resources and adhering to lethargic work Culture - Investigation Process gets
delayed which brings Discomfort and Inconvenience to the complainants:- This
Process Tarnished image of the Police; He said that This image can only be
changed by Introducing new and Result Oriented initiative which should bring
Tangible improvement in the Investigation process of Police; He underlined that
Therefore Model investigation officers have been tasked to clear the back log
of cases pending in 72 Police stations within a Stipulated period of one month,
RPO said.
Dr. Ehsan Sadiq further said that
the new Initiative of Model Investigation Process is a part of Comprehensive
and long term Strategy of promoting Community Policing in which at the first
phase system of VROs was introduced which Facilitated the Redressal of more
than 50 thousand Minor Disputes and Complaints. Now, at the second phase Model
police Investigators have been given the Responsibilities to Settle the Minor
Crimes quickly between the Contesting Parties.

Judge Anti Terrorist Court has Convicted an Accused syed Muhammad Waseem Abbas
Shah by Awarding 9 years Imprisonment along with imposing a fine to the tune of
Rs. 9 Lakh. The Culprit would have to Undergo on Imprisonment of 9 Months in
case of Failure to pay the Fine imposed upon him, The Judgment says.
The Accused Syed Waseem Abbas Shah
was booked by Police Station Enaaiti in District Bahawalpur under FIR No.
141/2015.
The Anti Terrorist Court awarded
Punishment under 3 Different sections of Anti Terrorist Act 1997 which
include:- 9 ATA; 298-A PPC and 11-EE(4) ATA.

International Fund for Agriculture Development in Bahawalpur Division would

as a Catalyst to promote Gender Equality
by providing socio-economic Assistance to the Women in the Area. He made these
Remarks during a Meeting with Vice President of International Fund for
Agriculture Development Mr. Michel Mordasini and the Country Project Manager
Mr. Boiard Hubert who called on Commissioner Bahawalpur at Circuit House, here,
today.

Commissioner Bahawalpur Saqib Zafar
Appreciated the Initiative of the International Fund for Agriculture
Development to include two Districts of Bahawalpur Division - Bahawalpur and
Bahawalnagar in its wide ranging Poverty Alleviation Program which is aimed to
provide socio-economic Facilities for the lower socio-economic strata of
Society. He envisioned that this Positive Initiative would serve to evolve a
Sustainable Mechanism of inclusive socio-economic Progress and Development in
the area.
During the Meeting IFAD Country
Project Manager Mr. Boiard Hubert informed that 208 Homes would be provided to
shelter-less women in Bahawalpur District and 10 Completed Houses have already
been handed over to the Deserving women.
Project Director SPPAP while
briefing the Meeting Revealed that a total sum of Rupees 4126 Million have been
Allocated for the four Districts of Southern Punjab, and as many as 28867 poor
and Deserving women have already been provided 57737 Goats; 1255 Residential
Plots and 502 small House Units have been handed over to 1255 deserving women
and 311 deserving families.
Mr. Raja further claimed that 850
constructed Homes would be handed over to the deserving people by the end of
June. Raja Sagheer further informed that this program has imparted Technical
training of two months of 30 Different Technical Disciplines to Eight thousand
youths; provided Seeds and Fertilizers and Agricultural Equipments to 10057 and
328 poor Farmers Respectively. As many as "2090 people were also Imparted
training regarding starting small Business, he concluded.
