BAHAWALPUR(PR)On the directions of Chief Justice Lahore high court: a condolence meeting was held to offer Fatiha for the late Abdul Sattar Edhi, here, at Lahore high court, Bahawalpur bench.

At condolence meeting Senior Judge Mr. Justice Ali Akbar Qureshi; Mr. Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar and Additional Registrar Muhammad Shahid Hussain offered Dua for the late Abdul Sattar Edhi.

On this occasion Dua was also offered for the departed soul by all the staff members of court and its allied branches.

During his visit Commissioner Bahawalpur inspected various branches and operational centers of the forensic science agency which include: - Laboratory; Crime Scene vehicle and other related branches. Junior Scientist, Muhammad Azeem Khan briefed the Commissioner that crime scenes are preserved by the forensic science agency by adopting modern scientific measures. He further said that by utilizing modern forensic measures, complex and complicated criminal investigation process has been streamlined on modern scientific lines.

Bahawalpur region police in its ongoing crack-down against drug traffickers has ceased a large quantity of narcotics

BAHAWALPUR(PR)Bahawalpur region police in its ongoing crack-down against drug traffickers has ceased a large quantity of narcotics which include: - 5021 liter alcohol; 3.312 Kilogram Marijuana; 150 gram Heroin and 2.590 Kilogram Poppy. Besides, as many as 12 criminal cases has been registered against one-wheelers who were sent to jail while as many as 200 motor cycles have been taking into police custody for over-speeding. Besides, 42 criminal cases have been registered against Motor cyclists for over-speeding. This crack-down against anti-social element has been launched under the direction of Regional Police Officer Dr. Ehsan Sadiq.

Regional Police Officer Dr. Ehsan Sadiq has further directed all the 3 DPOs of Bahawalpur region to further expedite the ongoing crack-down against drug traffickers in all the 72 police stations of Bahawalpur region. He further said that the crackdown against drug traffickers is aimed to create drug free society.

Regional Police Officer has directed all police officers to launch a comprehensive public awareness campaign for the students of academic institutions regarding the lethal hazards of drug menace.
