High Court Mr. Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah was presented Guard of honor by a
smartly turned out contingent of police on his arrival at Lahore High Court
Bahawalpur Bench on Thursday.
The ceremony was
attended by Mr. Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khan, Mr. Justice Muhammad Sajid
Mahmood Sethi, Mr. Justice Tariq Iftikhar, Mr. Justice Muhammad Basheer Paracha,
Registrar High Court and Principal Secretary to Chief Justice Shahid Shafi.
Deputy Commissioner Visited Dring Stadium Bahawalpur ; inspected
various on-going sports projects
BAHAWALPUR(PR) Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur
has urged upon the officials of the Sports Department to maximize their endeavor
to accelerate the pace of on-going development schemes to modernize sports
infrastructure which is vital to promote sports culture among the youth. He
made these remarks during a visit of Dring Stadium Bahawalpur.
During his visit he inspected
various on-going sports projects which include: - Electronic Sports Library;
Gymnasium; Austrotruph at Mati-Ullah Hockey stadium and Hostel for the players.
Deputy Commissioner directed the
XEN Building Bahawalpur to sharpen the pace of on-going developmental work at
various Sports Project to enable the youth to utilize the sports facilities. Earlier
Deputy Commissioner urged upon the sports officials to pay special attention to
promote the culture of sports which is vital to channelize the potential and
energy for the youth on positive and constructive lines. He appreciated the
maintenance of historic Dring Stadium which has various facilities to conduct sports
activities. During his visit Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Assistant
Commissioner Coordination Muhammad Tayyab, Divisional Sports Officer Syed
Mateem Ahmad , District Sports Officer
Maqsood-ul Hassan Javed and Incharge Dring Stadium Talat Masood Khan.
BAHAWALPUR(PR)Deputy
Commissioner Bahawalpur Rana Muhammad Saleem Afzal has urged upon the officials
of Parks and Horticulture Authority to mobilize all available resources to
enhance the esthetic and environmental profile of Bahawalpur City. He made
these remarks while presiding over a meeting of Parks and Horticulture held at
his committee room.
The meeting was
attended by Director PHA Rana Qazafi, Deputy Director Horticulture Abid Yaseen,
Assistant Director Rana Masroor, Assistant Director Engineering and others
officials. During the meeting Director PHA Rana Qazafi gave a detail briefing
about the new initiative of PHA to enhance the environmental and esthetic
profile of the city which include construction of Children Park, Multan Roundabout
and Azam Chowk project. “ Co-ordinated, effective and sustained mechanism
should be evolved by PHA to complete all developmental works by ensuring high
quality of construction work with in the stipulated time frame work”; DC
maintained. He further said that he would personally inspect the developmental
works of PHA Bahawalpur.

fort to finalize the arrangements of Desert Jeep Rally which is scheduled to be
held from Feb 9th to 12th in the Cholistan area of
Bahawalpur division. During his visit he inspected newly constructed Gopas and
Wash rooms and various other places which are aimed to provide recreational and
entertainment facilities to the visitors of 4 day event of rally. He was accompanied
by General Manager Tahir Niazi, Regional Manager Shahid Mahmood and Event Manager
Fayyaz Ahmad.
BAHAWALPUR(PR) Miss Samra Riaz of Govt. Degree College
Satellite town Bahawalpur has secured third position at the Urdu essay competition
at the provincial level under chief ministers Punjab literary program 2016-17.
The topic of the essay was “Terrorism
and our society”. Miss Samra Riaz is the daughter of senior official of Divisional
Information office Bahawalpur and prominent compere of Radio Pakistan Riaz Hussain
Bhutta.
Miss Samra Riaz turned her
success at the provincial level due to consistent support and guidance of her parents
and teachers.
