Cholistan Desert Rally has attain the recognition of Motor sports festival at the International level:Commissioner Bahawalpur Division

                                BAHAWALPUR(PR)Commissioner Bahawalpur has said that Cholistan Desert Rally has attain the recognition of Motor sports festival at the International level which would further boost the prospects of  tourism and promote the splendid and glorious culture of Cholistan region. This would further enhance Pakistan soft image at Global level. Therefore, all concerned departments should mobilize all available resources to fully implement the finalize program to successfully organize this historic event. He made these remarks while chairing a review meeting regarding the arrangements of TDCP Cholistan Desert Rally held at his conference room  on friday.

                The meeting was attended by RPO Bahawalpur Idrees Ahmad, Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Rana Muhammad Saleem Afzal, DPO Bahawalpur Ashfaq Ahmad Khan, President 4x4 Club Ch. Mahmood Majeed, Director Local Govt. and Rural development Muhammad Waseem, General Manager TDCP Asjad Ghani, Manage event TDCP Fayyaz Ahmad and others while Deputy Commissioner Rahim yar khan Jamil Ahmad Jamil and Deputy Commissioner Bahawal Nagar Azhar Hayat participated in the meeting through video link. “ All arrangements regarding repair and maintenance of route of the rally along with fool proof security arrangements should stand fully operationalized starting from 9^th of February till 12^th of February” Commissioner directed. He further urged upon the concerned quarters to take concrete measures regarding route marking, traffic plan, services of Rescue 1122 and extending adequate medical emergency services on the eve of Cholistan Desert Rally in Bahawalpur Division. The meeting was apprised of that the Aspiring participants may get themselves registers through online system till February 5^th. The meeting was briefed that to make  the process of racing transparent and for better time management GPRS system would be installed in  both stock category and prepared category vehicles which would participate in the Jeep rally.

According to the finalize schedule Registration, and physical fitness inspection along-with medical examination of the drivers would be conducted at Derwar Eidgah on 9^th of February. The qualifying round would be held on the same day. The Stock category race would be held on 10^th of February which would be accompanied by organizing Camel Show and lightening of the Historic buildings. The first round of prepared category vehicles and holding of cultural night and display of fire work at Derawar Fort would be held on February 11^th. The second phase of race of prepared category vehicles and ceremony of prize distribution would be held on February 12^th.
