BAHAWALPUR(PR)Resident Director Arts
Council Rana Ajaz Mahmood had said that sustained and vigorous policy framework
to promote art and literature is vital to establish a peaceful, prosperous and
progressive polity. He made these remarks while inaugurating a week long
interactive theater work shop jointly organized by Bahawalpur Arts Council and Interactive
Resource Center here on Monday at Rashidia Auditorium Bahawalpur.
The 7 day
interactive theater workshop’s inaugural ceremony was attended by Director IRC
Muhammad Waseem, Prof. Dr. Shahzad Rana, Deputy Director Public Relations Nasir
Hameed, Prof. Abdul Basit, Coordinator Muhammad Ishtiaq, Athar Jahania,
Administrative officer of BAC Mrs. Mahjabeen Tahir and student of various
colleges and universities.
“National Action
Program envisages to synergize the energies of the youth on positive and
constructive lines which would not only decimate the curse of extremism but
would also usher in a new era of socio cultural enlightenment” Rana Ajaz noted.
He further said that Information and Culture department has focus its energies
to promote art and culture through Chief Minister’s Youth talent Hunt Program
which would provide a solid platform to the youth to sharpen their creative
potential in various forms of performing art.
Deputy Director
Public Relations Nasir Hameed emphasize the need to promote extracurricular
activities among the youth which promote the innate create potential among the
youth which not only socialized their personalities on positive and
constructive lines but would also blossom their creative talent in various
fields of performing art.

mark solidarity with the ongoing struggle of Kashmiri people was held at Govt.
College of Commerce Bahawalpur. The seminar was presided over by Principal of College
Muzaffar Ali Saif.
Prof.
Attiq-ur-Rehman and Prof. Javed Akhtar Shad while speaking on the occasion
maintained that the unprecedented bold and courageous struggle of Kashmiri
people would succeed and Kashmir would become part of Pakistan. They expressed
complete solidarity with the Kashmiri people.
Later a Walk was
also staged which started from the college premises and ended at Cheema Town. A
large Number of students, faculty members and civil society representatives
attend both the events.
