Waste Management Company Samiullah Ch. has said that Government is fully committed
to promote art and literature which is vital to usher in a new era of
progressive, enlightened and moderate socio-civilizational frame work. The
seven days theater and photography training workshops for the young students
jointly organized by Interactive Resource Center and Bahawalpur Arts Council is
the practical reflections of consistent dedication and commitment to provide
solid foundations for reviving our splendid cultural heritage.
He made these remarks while
speaking as chief guest at the seven days workshop for male and female students
of various academic instructions here at the Rashidia Auditorium on Sunday. The
ceremony was attended by Director Public Relations Multan Ch. Tahir Mahmood,
Prof. Umar Farooq, Abdul Khaliq Qureshi, Prof. Abdul Basit, columnist and
broadcaster Amjad Kalyar and others.
Samiullah Chaudhry further said
that Bahawalpur Waste Management Company would launch a comprehensive
theatrical performance programme to highlight the significance of cleanliness
which is vital to ensure healthy and aesthetic environmental landscape. "A
joint venture of theatrical performances would be under taken through the joint
collaboration of Bahawalpur Waste Management Company, IRC and Bahawalpur Arts
Council", Samiullah Ch. Maintained. Mr. Chaudhry paid rich tribute to the
outstanding services of Director IRC who in a short span of seven days managed
to impart tremendous amount of confidence among the participants which
sharpened their creative potential both in the domain of photography and
theatrical performance. He highly appreciated the initiative of art council
Bahawalpur for promoting the universal values of art and literature through
these training workshops.
While speaking
on the occasion Resident Director Arts Council Rana Ajaz Mahmood said that the
cultural initiative is aimed to engage the youth regarding the National Action
program which is vital to decimate the curse of
extremism. He appreciated the dedication and expertise of Director IRC Mr. Muhammad
Waseem and his team to make this event real success.
Director IRC
thanked the Secretary Information and Cultural Raja Jahangir Anwar,
Commissioner Bahawalpur Saqib Zafar and Executive Director Arts Council Ch.
Muhammad Asif for their support in conduction these workshops. He also thanked
vice Chancellor IUB Prof. Dr. Qaiser Mushtaq and Dean of faculty of arts Prof.
Dr. Memona Ghani, both for designating Prof. Dr. Shahzad Rana as coordinator of
Program and providing universities plat form for conducting these workshops.
